I basically went to London for brunch. No joke. Located on Regents Canal just north of Shoreditch, The Barge House is famous for their Breakfast in Bread. Basically, it’s a bread bowl that’s filled with various roasted vegetables, meat (unless you get the vegetarian option), cheese, topped with an egg, and baked to perfection.

I learned about this majesty because Business Insider did a little video of the legendary brunch. I knew that before I left the UK, I had to make it to London just to try this.

My friend Daan from Hacker Paradise messaged me on Wednesday morning.

text from Daan - let's go to London!

When I realized that my Barclay’s credit card would actually pay for the flight, I didn’t have a choice. I had to go.

We had a marvelous time walking around the city. We did an excellent free walking tour. We tried various coffee shops. We drank craft beer and cocktails. We ate Indian and ramen. But the highlight of all the food for me was Breakfast in Bread.

It had the perfect ratio of leeks, spinach, tomatoes, sausage, ham, and cheese. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bread was just the right texture. It was a party in my mouth.

Without further ado, here it is:
